Hi, I am Jasmin Blackmore. 

I am about to embark on an amazing journey in growing my faith and my relationship with the Lord. I would love you all to be apart of this experience with me and follow me every step of this incredible journey, not only being able to see the impact it has on me but the impact that it will have on you as well. 

I have always felt a calling to do something in the mission field to respond to my need to make a difference in this world. Lately I have been feeling a strong pull to the country of India. I found world race because God touched my heart to kick it into gear and made me realize it is my time to explore the mission field. Through World Race not only will I be given the opportunity to experience India for a month, I will also be able to teach others about Jesus. I feel this experience will help me to grow tremendously in my christian walk. 

My brief mission experience started with a week-long trip to Mexico with my church youth group. While there we got to build a house for a family in need. And spend time with the family telling them about Jesus and his love. This amazing experience taught me just how much a mission trip can grow your relationship with God. Now I feel I am ready for something more. I feel I need to be fully submerged for a long period of time to learn all that I am supposed to learn as I embark on this journey. I need to put myself in a situation that is going to challenge me, helping me to rely singly on what God has planned for me in the future.   

 A little about me, I am the oldest out of my brother and sister. My religious walk started in an oppressive environment for women of a very conservative religion. As a woman I had no value. It was severely shunned to dream and want to make a difference in the world. Women were to keep quiet and stay in the shadows. I didn't realize it then but now I see that God is calling me to so much more. With God's help and guidance I have been able to be a first generation high school graduate and very soon college graduate. I strive to continue his work and be an encouragement to all women to see that with God anything is possible.  

I have been able to learn and grow in Christ. I have been able to throw the enfasis of religion out the window and really focus on the word of Jesus instead of man. I want to be able to spread the word of Jesus to people that were like me and not knowing there was more than religion.
